So here we are halfway through February, and if you’re anything like me, your New Year’s resolutions have fallen by the wayside. But, putting an unrealistic deadline on your health, finances, etc. can easily make you feel like a failure when you don’t meet your resolutions immediately.
You may have given up – don’t throw in the towel just yet.
Resolutions are about changing your perspective and making the healthy changes you need and want. And this is certainly a process. Very few of us can make drastic changes overnight. Keep in mind, you do not have to put unrealistic deadlines on yourself or feel like you should give up if you still haven’t met your goals.
This is your opportunity to make those changes, or resolutions, and finally stick with them.
If you haven’t lost those 5 pounds, quit smoking, started a budget, or whatever your resolution may have been, you can still get there. I made several resolutions that were about my health. Stress is a big factor in my life, as I’m sure it is in yours. These days most of us have an incredible amount of stress on our shoulders and it’s difficult to make healthy changes when you feel so unhealthy. But it can be done.
Whether you’re ready to start today or tomorrow doesn’t matter. Changing your mind about how you do things and undoing those things you do not like or want in your life is how you start. The Beehive is a great place to find advice and ideas about how to get started, how to keep it up and why it’s so important for your mind, body and even your wallet.
Before you go, share your resolutions with us and how you’re doing. Let us know what you’ve done that works and, you never know, you may help others who don’t realize they can still meet their goals.
