There’s still one week left in 2009, but for those planning a New Year’s Eve party the countdown has already begun.
Fortunately, throwing a New Year’s party doesn’t have to be a lot of work. And you can even do it for relatively cheap if you just think a little green. In fact, there are many simple ways to make your party and 2010 more eco-friendly.
Here are a few ideas from thedailygreen:
- Set the table – borrow what you need from friends, neighbors, etc.
- Evites or online cards save time and paper
- BYOB: asking friends to “Bring Your Own Bubbly” can help cut costs (Just be sure to plan ahead and don’t forget over the limit, under arrest.)
- Decorations – lots of cheap, green ideas
- Easy, green snacks and dessert recipes
While you’re planning the party, consider some green New Year’s resolutions to save money and help the environment. Of course, making resolutions can be easier than keeping them – read our previous post on how to stick to your resolutions, here.
