On World AIDS Day we are reminded that there has been incredible progress in the fight against AIDS. But we still have a ways to go. Especially when over 56,000 Americans are newly infected with HIV each year and an estimated 21 percent of HIV-positive people don’t actually know they are infected. This means today is an opportunity to learn how HIV is spread, talk about prevention, provide support and get involved. Don’t forget, we can all do our part to help stop the spread of HIV.
Do your part – get tested today. You can find HIV testing near you, here. If the site is too busy, you can also text your zip code to “KNOWIT” (566948) to find HIV testing near you.
