I terrified you all yesterday talking about the toxins in our beauty products, and left you waiting for a suggested solution. I have two. The first I’m discussing in part two today and the second will be in part three of this beauty series.

There are beauty product that are commerically made that are:

  • good for you, the consumer
  • that work and will give you the results you want and need
  • are safe for the environment

Organic beauty products and Natural beauty products are better because they are not exposing you or the environment to chemicals.

Recently, I talked with the staff at a local health food store to discover the many benefits of using simple, healthier products lines.

  • Better for you skin and overall health: the skin is allowed and able to breathe and function better when you reduce its exposure to chemicals.
  • Real lasting results, that support true beauty.
  • Rather than covering up a conflicting beauty problem as you do with products containing fillers and preservatives, you end up healing and correcting your problem areas with natural or organic products.

Different ethnic groups often have different skin and hair care needs. I can happily report that their are a variety of lines to meet the needs of every diverse individual.

The topic of cost can be a concern for many, part of that comes from companies saying you need ten products to wash, moisturize, and tone your face. Its not that complicated, really you just need a few products. And the natural and organic lines comes at all prices.

Fun beauty tricks and tips:

  • Put deodorant on at random times of the day (before bed or any random time you are in the restroom). It is less effective if applied directly after a shower or bath.
  • After applying conditioner, comb it through your hair, you will spread the product more evenly and need less
  • Store nail polish in the fridge, it will last longer and is easier to apply.
  • To reduce the appearance of stretchmarks and cellulite, rub coffee grounds on the problem area.
  • Wash your face after brushing your teeth. This will remove toothpaste residue that may irritate your skin and cause breakouts.
  • Sliced cumbers or damp tea bags and place them over the eyes to relieve swelling and puffiness

Tomorrow come back and read about making your own natural beauty products!

Organic beauty products are excellent and can be great for skin since it has no chemical ingredients…but then cost is the only factor which is not enabling it to be marketed the way it has to be….

Green Beauty products can be expensive, but if you compare product side by side with the average chemical filled prduct the price points are not that diferent, in addition items do go on sale.

I personally would reccommend getting a simple organic face soap, witch hazel (its less than $3 for an 8 oz bottle) and a green or organic moisturizer. You could do that for under $10. Its a great regie for your skin, affordable, and simple.

You can also make your own products as mentioned in part 3.

We have the technology available to slow down the ageing process and it’s relatively inexpensive and simple.

You need to make sure that you moisturize your skin so that your chances for wrinkles are lower at a young age. As we get older you will definitely get wrinkles. The only thing that we can do is to try and slow down the process and minimize the damage.
