Ok, I Want to Vote! Now What?

October 28, 2008 by Colin Lovett

by Colin Lovett, PICurrent Managing Producer

As I mentioned earlier today, we should all be thinking about the election next week.  Make a choice and let your voice be heard.  But for most Americans, voting is already underway.  Really?  Yes, really.  More than 30 states now offer no-excuses early voting at election offices and other locations.

What this means is you don’t have to make up some lame story about a sick aunt to vote early if you just want to avoid the lines at the polls next Tuesday.

Google has this incredible mapping program to help you find out more about how to cast your ballot, based on where you live.  Our sister site, 24/7 Townhall, has the widget here.  You can also use this Google map to find info on voting in your state, plus voting locations and more.

The Voting Information Project and The League of Women Voters also have great information to help you get your voice heard on election day.
